We are Mountain Shadows Equine Revival
Potential; That is the driving force of our organization.
The potential of horses considered worthless in kill auctions.
The potential of volunteers to grow in their horse experience.
The potential of a community empowered by education of horse welfare.
As a 501(3) nonprofit, we are powered entirely by volunteers and donors to rehabilitate, train, and rehome horses. Our board members oversee all of our decisions to establish trust and accountability to our goals and our horses.
From abandoned to adopted
Tesla’s Story
We first saw Tesla at the Fort Collins auction as a yearling. Scrawny and fuzzy, he held so little value he was grouped with the cows. Young and untrained, Tesla didn’t hold much value for any other potential adopters. We won the bid for him at $75.
Today, Tesla is a gorgeous, spunky solid two-year-old who has been fed, loved, and trained — has found his forever home.
Our mission at Mountain Shadows Equine is to make the undervalued horses valued and we believe a horse’s best defense against ending up in a bad situation is training.
